Lakeland Dairies are Ireland's second largest dairy processing co-operative with 15 plants throughout Ireland. With a huge export market, they export globally to all continents. Their scale is huge, processing over one billion litres of liquid milk per year.

Business Challenges
Lakeland Dairies engaged Informa to help them improve their efficiency and processes.  Amongst other business challenges that they faced, Lakeland Dairies had to find solutions to the following issues:

  • Data & reports segmented across multiple systems & locations
  • Delayed invoice processing time
  • High print and consumable costs

  • Centralise access of all records
  • Introduce scanning & workflow to reduce invoice processing time
  • Deliver full integration with an accounts package

The Project Scope
In order to meet the above objectives, Informa provided and managed a range of services and solutions, after a detailed and thorough audit of requirements. Informa managed the delivery of:

  • Installation of ZyLAB Information Access Platform
  • Migration of data from their existing system including AS400 spool reports
  • Integration of existing MFP devices with the solution
  • Integration with existing database systems
  • Introduction with all MS Office & MS Outlook applications
  • Introduction of workflow system for invoice authorisation
  • Introduction of digital signatures for payment authorisation
  •  Installation of network & support scanners at all Lakeland premises.
